There is something special about travelling by horse. The rhythm and pace; a sense of belonging to the country around you and a feeling that you are stepping back from the modern-day world. And there is no better way to enjoy it than with friends.
Riding holidays have been a part of my life for a long time. Adventures began as a young girl obsessed with Arthur Ransom’s Swallows & Amazons. These quickly moved to ponies and, over many years, I was lucky enough to join my father on a number of wonderful riding adventures around the world. They all followed in the footsteps of military history and the formula was simple: find a military campaign in beautiful countryside; invite like-minded friends; source good horses and include plenty of decent food and drink. Every ride was a trip of a lifetime.
In 2019 I launched my own company with the aim of recreating some of these unique adventures. When Covid struck all plans were off and so I looked to my own doorstep for inspiration. I realised that one does not have to cross an ocean for a great adventure and that Great Britain has so many lovely rides to offer. With the help of Ordnance Survey maps and local knowledge, I have researched, walked and ridden some wonderful routes that show off the English countryside at its best.
Since our first English ride in my home county Dorset in 2021, our portfolio has slowly grown and I am delighted to offer multiple rides across three spectacular locations: Dorset, Exmoor and the Ridgeway Downs, with a couple of new locations in the planning for 2027. It has been such fun planning these rides, discovering hidden gems with new friends. I hope you will be persuaded to join us on one soon.

Victoria’s childhood was filled with adventure—building camps, exploring rivers, and finding wonder on her pony in the forgotten corners of the countryside. It was a world that taught her to be curious, intuitive, and audacious. Those early traits led her into the world of luxury travel, in particularly at Abercrombie & Kent, where she designed experiences for others and learned quickly that itineraries only work when they grounded in attention to detail, research, preparation, and deep knowledge of your subject.
In the hospitality world, she has run a residential Art School with her Artist husband and later owned and managed a village inn through covid and to the other side. From managing logistics to navigating crises, she knows how to anticipate unspoken needs and create environments where people feel welcome.
Horses and hunting are a huge part of her life. She and her family hunted with the Heythrop Hunt for 20 years, being secretary for 8 years, before moving to Exmoor in 2022. Victoria’s husband, George, is a landscape Artist and the raw elements of Exmoor suit his work.
